Danny “zonic” Sørensen, coach of the Team Falcons CS2 roster, shared his opinion on Nikola “NiKo” Kovač. In an interview, he highlighted the esportsman’s individual skill level and his captaincy abilities.
Over the years, NiKo has matured a lot but maintained an outstanding level of individual play. I think now we as a team should play around him more. NiKo takes over calling in defense, and in this aspect, he is the best player I have ever worked with.
At the same time, NiKo needs to think more about himself, focus on his own game, and not monitor the actions of the entire team. Meanwhile, I need to find a way to truly bring everyone else into the game. For example, degster could pick with AWP more often so that NiKo plays for himself.
NiKo joined Team Falcons at the beginning of 2025. With him, the team competed at IEM Katowice 2025, ESL Pro League Season 21, and PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, where they took second place.
Before that, Kovač played for G2 Esports for over four years. His former teammate Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov has already noted that with NiKo’s departure, the team lacked a caller in defense.
