Team Spirit’s manager, Dmitry ‘Korb3n’ Belov, has addressed the speculation surrounding the organization’s choice to sign Denis ‘larl’ Sigitov over Vladimir ‘No[o]ne’ Minenko back in 2022. Korb3n clarified the team’s perspective on this roster decision.
According to Korb3n, while he respects No[o]ne’s abilities, he is content with Team Spirit’s choice of larl. He defended the decision, pointing to the team’s significant victories with larl, including Riyadh Masters 2023 and The International 2023.

He finished in the lower ranks at the PGL Arlington Major and didn’t qualify for The International. Continuing into 2023 with Old G, the results weren’t there either. So, considering we were making a decision in 2022, the question is: why should we have signed him then?”
Korb3n further elaborated, “Even looking at the current situation, PARIVISION’s accomplishments are on par with ours. I want to reiterate my respect for No[o]ne; he’s an outstanding player, and I’ve always maintained that. My reasoning is purely logical. Perhaps not signing him was a mistake, but the outcomes suggest otherwise. I found the rumors amusing when they surfaced. It’s worth noting that we’ve had discussions with No[o]ne on multiple occasions, both before and after bringing in Den [larl]. These kinds of conversations are normal.”
“I still don’t see why signing No[o]ne was something we definitively should have done, or why people perceive it as an error in judgment. If we evaluate based on 2022, we went on to win The International and Riyadh Masters with Den. It seems quite clear. I’m not inclined to second-guess what might have happened if we had chosen differently. It’s simply not logical to do so.”
Previously, reports circulated suggesting that No[o]ne had reached out to Team Spirit two years prior but was ultimately turned down.
