Tyson Fury has suggested he might come out of retirement and return to boxing, just under two months after his latest announcement to quit the sport.

The boxing world was surprised in January when The Gypsy King declared his retirement for the fifth time.

But Gypsy King’s promoters – Queensberry Promotions – have appeared to tease a potential ring return for the Wythenshawe warrior

Fury’s recent retirement followed two losses to Oleksandr Usyk and appeared to cancel any chance of a fight with Anthony Joshua.

However, he now seems to be hinting at a comeback through his promoter, Queensberry Promotions.

On Monday, Queensberry’s X account posted a video of Fury walking onto the pitch at Old Trafford wearing an England flag.

The video was captioned: “The return of The Gypsy King?” with eye and hourglass emojis.

Boxing fans quickly responded, with comments like: “AJ?”, “It had better be the AJ fight or I’m not interested,” “Could you imagine if it’s Jake Paul?”, and “What’s this all about?”

Some believe the video suggests Fury will appear at Soccer Aid 2025, expected to be held at Old Trafford in June.

Fury, 36, has been quiet about his boxing future since his latest retirement announcement on social media.

His cousin Andy Lee recently said that Fury is happy with his life outside of boxing.

When asked about conversations with Fury, Lee told iFL TV: “[It’s] just the odd message here and there and he seems very happy. [He said], ‘Andy I’m not f****d.' That’s what he said. ‘I couldn’t be f****d with it.' He’s very happy.”

It is expected that Saudi boxing organizer Turki Alalshikh will make Fury a huge offer to reverse his retirement and fight Joshua in a highly anticipated British showdown.

AJ has not given up hope of fighting Fury, telling iFL TV: “I feel like it’s the best fight [for me]. People might say [Joseph] Parker, people might say – I don’t know. But I think Fury, commercially, is a great fight and it’s a great man’s fight as well. So I think it makes sense. You could say it’s been years in the making. But listen, the heavyweight division has been thriving.”

“And why I say it’s probably still a great fight is as I said Parker is, for me, a great story of someone that never gives up. And the thing is, there is going to be one winner and one loser and there’s going to be bloodshed. And it ain’t gonna be mine.”
