Dragan Bratic, the President of the Swedish Sex Federation, has responded to the inclusion of esports in the Swedish Sports Confederation’s list of disciplines. He believes his organization should also be recognized within the state’s sporting framework.
According to Bratic, “Last year, esports was included in the confederation. But sex is more of a sport than esports.”
The Swedish Sex Federation has previously been denied official recognition of sex as a sport. Despite this, they have held competitions in the discipline, featuring categories such as “foreplay,” “artistry,” and “creative poses.” However, a past sex tournament was marred by controversy and ultimately unfinished due to disagreements, including a dispute between Bratic and a participant, and complaints about poor event organization. Official sport status would unlock financial benefits for the Swedish Sex Federation, including government funding.
