Sri Lanka is set to host a Women’s One Day International (ODI) tri-series featuring India and South Africa in April and May. This tournament was officially announced on March 6th.
The series will follow a double round-robin format, meaning each team plays the others twice, followed by a final match between the top two teams. It’s designed as preparation for the Women’s ODI World Cup in India later this year.
The tri-series starts on April 27th with Sri Lanka playing against India, led by Harmanpreet Kaur. Each team will compete in four group matches. The final is scheduled for May 11th. All matches will be day games and held at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
All three participating teams have already secured their places in the eight-team World Cup thanks to their positions in the ICC Women’s Championship.
