Disney has reduced the scale of the premiere for the upcoming “Snow White” film.
Typically, major Hollywood premieres are grand events with extensive media coverage. However, for this premiere, the studio has chosen not to invite journalists, with only photographers expected to be present.
The live-action “Snow White” remake has faced criticism, partly due to the casting of Rachel Zegler, who is of Latin American descent, in the lead role. Fans of the original animation also expressed disapproval of the actress’s remarks criticizing the classic movie as outdated.
Further contributing to the situation are statements made by the film’s leading actresses on sensitive social and political issues. Zegler has shown support for Palestine on social media, while Gal Gadot, who is Israeli, has voiced support for Israel. In addition, Zegler has made negative comments about former US President Donald Trump and his supporters.
