Representatives from the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) have commented on media reports regarding the resumption of full operation of YouTube in Russia.
Roskomnadzor stated that they checked the accessibility of YouTube and confirmed that the service is not available in Russia.
Users in Russia began experiencing disruptions in YouTube’s operation in the summer of 2024. Officially, these issues with the platform within the country are attributed to equipment wear and tear. Reports in the media on the night of March 1st indicated that YouTube had started working smoothly for some users, while others reported no changes.
