A major update to Grand Theft Auto V on PC has been met with disapproval from gamers.
Despite being free and intended to improve loading times and graphics, as well as simplify access to GTA+, the Enhanced version of GTA V is receiving “mixed” reviews on Steam.
In comments, users point out that Rockstar has done minimal work, and the main purpose of the update is to promote the GTA+ service. Separate criticism was directed at the fact that gamers cannot transfer characters and progress from the previous version of the game. Furthermore, users note that some content has disappeared from the game, and text chat has become unavailable in GTA Online.
Initially, the Enhanced edition was released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Users of the previous generation can still update their version of GTA V, but only between consoles — it is impossible to transfer progress from PS4 or Xbox One to PC.
