Michael Conlan is set to make his boxing comeback against Asad Asif Khan.
They will fight at the Brighton Centre on Friday night, as part of the undercard for the Harlem Eubank vs Tyrone McKenna event. Conlan, representing Ireland, aims to revive his boxing career.
Conlan, 33 and from Belfast, has not boxed since being defeated by Jordan Gill by knockout in December 2023.
He is motivated to continue his career after signing with the Wasserman boxing agency, hoping to keep his world title aspirations alive.
Conlan’s loss to Gill followed defeats to Leigh Wood and Luis Alberto Lopez in a world title fight.
Despite a controversial loss at the Rio Olympics, he hasn’t fully lived up to the potential he showed representing Ireland at the London and Rio Olympics in the early 2010s.
Khan may not be a high-profile opponent, but his record of 19 wins, 5 losses, 1 draw, and five knockouts suggests he is a capable fighter.
