Team Spirit’s mid-laner, Denis ‘larl’ Sigitov, shared insights into his team’s reaction to the DDoS attack that occurred during the grand final of DreamLeague Season 25 in Dota 2. He discussed their response in an interview during the tournament broadcast.
According to Larl, as they were at a bootcamp, their reaction was simply to go home, relax, play a few practice games, and some public matches for those who wanted. They didn’t extensively discuss the DDoS situation, choosing to let it go as it was beyond their control. They found the situation somewhat amusing and decided to move past it. Despite feeling that they were in a favorable position in the interrupted game, their focus quickly shifted to winning future tournaments.
Team Spirit ultimately emerged victorious in DreamLeague Season 25, defeating Tundra Esports with a score of 3:2 in the final. The match, initially scheduled to conclude on the night of March 3rd, was disrupted on the fourth map due to DDoS attacks targeting Spirit’s players. Consequently, organizers decided to postpone the conclusion of the match. More details about the situation are available in a separate article.
