Turki Alalshikh has suggested that KSI could be involved in a remarkable boxing event at Alcatraz prison, signaling a significant shift in boxing strategy.
Alalshikh, a prominent figure in Saudi Arabia, is expanding his boxing events beyond the Middle East to include locations in the UK and the United States.
His plans for events in the USA include hosting a fight at the famous Alcatraz prison, which is now a tourist attraction.
Alalshikh, who previously criticized YouTube boxing personalities, hinted at including KSI in this event.
He stated, “I am currently discussing with him and surprising him with the idea of doing something at Alcatraz jail in San Francisco in the future.”
KSI, aged 31, responded, “I am very excited to see what will happen. We have significant plans underway.”
Teofimo Lopez, the 27-year-old WBO super-lightweight champion, is reportedly a leading candidate to fight at Alcatraz Island.
Alalshikh also listed the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum in Rome, and the Mexican Pyramids as potential dream locations for future boxing events.
The influential Saudi advisor has openly criticized figures like Jake Paul, 28, regarding influencer boxing.
Last year, he commented, “If he wants to be considered a serious boxer, he needs to engage in significant fights against actual boxers, not treat it as mere entertainment.”
“That’s my opinion, because it’s detrimental to boxing. I am aware he disagrees with this, especially with my comments about his last fight.”
“I stated it was not boxing, and I am serious. If he intends to continue in this area and be part of Riyadh Season, he needs to compete against genuine boxers.”
Paul’s most recent fight was against Mike Tyson, who controversially returned to boxing at 58 years old after a 20-year hiatus.
Alalshikh seemed to indirectly criticize the American while discussing potential opponents with KSI.
He mentioned, “I challenge him to fight someone in America. We will discuss future opponents, he and I.”
“But against real fighters. Real boxers. Not someone who is 60 years old.”
KSI responded, “No, I don’t do that. Only one person does that.”
Paul responded online with a cryptic message: “Rent free in your head.”
