FaZe Clan’s CS2 team captain, Finn “karrigan” Andersen, has shared his thoughts on the team’s performance at the beginning of 2025. In an interview, he reflected on their showing at IEM Katowice 2025, PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, and the BLAST Bounty Spring 2025 qualifiers.

When asked about their results this year, especially at PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, where they were considered favorites, Karrigan admitted their initial performances were “very bad,” particularly at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025. However, he noted they had “good chances” at IEM Katowice 2025. He mentioned a close game against Team Vitality, where they led but ultimately lost, and their elimination by Eternal Fire after defeating G2 in the lower bracket, describing it as “classic FaZe.”

Regarding PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, Karrigan stated they had “excellent preparation” and a strong group stage, but suffered a “terrible day” losing to Team Falcons, which he believes impacted their subsequent match against Astralis. He described the overall results as “mixed,” seeing both positive aspects and problems that need addressing as a team.

Karrigan acknowledged that the roster change involving EliGE replacing ropz would require adjustment time. He conceded that on paper, the team might not appear optimally structured, but emphasized his and the coaching staff’s commitment to making it work, both at BLAST Open Spring 2025 and in future events.

FaZe Clan is set to compete at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 starting March 19, with their first match against Virtus.pro. The tournament, BLAST Open Spring 2025, will be held in Lisbon and Copenhagen from March 19-30, featuring 16 teams competing for a $400,000 prize pool.
