Hasbro, the owner of the Dungeons & Dragons franchise, has announced that it will soon reveal plans for the future of the Baldur’s Gate series. This was revealed in an interview with the company’s Vice President, Dana Ayob.
Ayob stated that the company has not yet finalized the direction of the franchise’s development, but promised to share information in the near future. Presumably, this concerns Baldur’s Gate 4, but it is still unknown what exactly the company is planning.
Baldur’s Gate 3 was released after several years of early access. The game has received numerous awards and became a financial success for both the developers and the owners of the Dungeons & Dragons rights. Larian released a major update that changed the endings and added mod support, and this update was initially planned as the final one.
