Veteran Counter-Strike player Ladislav ‘GuardiaN’ Kovács, 33, has announced his retirement from the professional scene. He shared his farewell message to fans via BCGame, the organization he represented as both coach and sniper in 2024.
Kovács stated that he is retiring due to fatigue from competitive play after a nearly 20-year career. The Slovakian player believes he has accomplished a great deal and is leaving esports without regrets, even though he never won a major championship.
GuardiaN’s professional Counter-Strike career began in 2006. While he played for numerous teams, his most notable achievements came with Natus Vincere and FaZe Clan between 2013 and 2019. Notably, the Slovakian sniper reached the finals of a major tournament three times.
