Dota 2 developers have boosted the polygon count available for creating in-game cosmetic items for a selection of heroes. Additionally, Valve has implemented updated item purchasing advice for players.
Increased polygon limits for hero items:
- Bane (shoulders, arms, back)
- Sand King (shoulders, legs, back)
- Storm Spirit (armor, arms)
- Riki (shoulders)
- Death Prophet (legs, miscellaneous)
- Phoenix (wings, supernova)
- Marci (head, armor, shoulders, back)
Revised item purchase recommendations:
- Gem of True Sight: Purchase in the early game is now discouraged.
- Bottle: Purchase during the planning phase is now discouraged.
- Orb of Venom and Orb of Blight: Purchase in the early game is now recommended.
- Orb of Frost: Purchase during the planning phase is now recommended.
