Emma Raducanu is said to have “angered” members of Wimbledon for allegedly breaking a club rule.

The 22-year-old tennis player often uses the All England Club’s facilities to practice when she is in London.

However, Raducanu is reported to have upset fellow members by seemingly violating the traditional all-white dress code.

Wimbledon has a 150-year-old rule requiring players to wear only white clothing while on court.

According to the Daily Mail, the 2021 US Open champion was seen wearing a pink outfit during recent training sessions at Wimbledon.

One Wimbledon member reportedly told The Mail: “It’s so unfair. Emma shows up in pink while everyone else respects the all-white rule. Who does she think she is?”

“Just because she won the US Open doesn’t give her the right to wear whatever she wants.”

Wimbledon’s regulations state that players must wear “suitable tennis attire that is almost entirely white,” clarifying that “white does not include off-white or cream.”

The rules further specify: “There should be no solid mass or panel of coloring.”

“A single trim is acceptable, but it must be no wider than one centimeter.”

In the past, Roger Federer faced criticism at Wimbledon in 2013 for wearing orange-soled shoes, which led to him having to change them.

Novak Djokovic had to request special permission to wear a grey knee support last year, and Nick Kyrgios mentioned being fined £12,000 for changing into a red hat and shoes on court after a match in 2022.

This alleged dress code breach occurs while Raducanu has been dealing with a man who displayed “fixated behavior” at the Dubai Open.

The individual has been issued a restraining order, and Raducanu’s security was increased at the Indian Wells tournament, where she was defeated in the first round by Moyuka Uchijima.
