Virtus.pro player Denis “electroNic” Sharipov spoke about the team’s performance and the form of its players. In an interview during the BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 broadcast in CS2, he also shared the roster’s ambitions and talked about preparations for the tournament.

“[In the match against FaZe] we did what we practiced in training. We discussed a lot before this tournament how we would play and all that. We didn’t do anything special before this game. Just normal preparation. <…>

We haven’t practiced that much, as you can see. We had a month after [PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025], but we had problems with visas and passports that we needed to solve. We practiced well before this tournament, but still, we want more. We want to be an S-tier team.”

Reflecting on playing as a captain, electroNic noted that he has not yet reached the desired level, but continues to learn from the example of other leaders.

“[About my progress as a captain] you need to ask my teammates. In my opinion, I am trying to be the best version of myself. I watch a lot of games, how other captains act in the match, how they control emotions. I am still far from the level of the best captain, but I am trying to be the best version of myself.”

Sharipov also spoke about Timur “FL4MUS” Marev and his performance in VP.

“He is a young player. GamerLegion was his… He used to play in Nemiga, but that’s not a tier-1 team. Closer to tier-1 is GamerLegion, but still. He needs to learn a lot, [for example] how CS works. Many people don’t know how it works. But it’s simpler than other things. <…> He wants it himself. He wants to grow, wants to learn a lot of new things. He is the kind of guy who can be on the tier-1 scene. He is very smart.”

VP is playing in Group A at BLAST Open Lisbon 2025. In the upper bracket, the team was stronger than FaZe Clan. The team’s next opponent will be Team Vitality — they will compete for a place in the tournament playoffs.

BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 takes place from March 19 to 30 in Copenhagen and Lisbon. Teams are competing for a prize pool of $400,000. You can follow the schedule and results of the competition in the report.
