Professional Dota 2 player Nikita ‘Daxak’ Kuzmin commented on Chimera Esports’ elimination from DreamLeague Season 25. He shared his assessment of their performance in a Telegram message.
As I said, we win almost every game, but solo and team skill is lacking. ANYWAY, regarding the result, we exceeded expectations a million times – our own, fans’, and haters’ (and it turned out to be the best result in my career and for many others). At least in the last series, compared to previous ones, we had a normal atmosphere. Without the other coach (Alagon), we probably wouldn’t have achieved this result, as he managed to boost morale and motivate us at the beginning.
Moving forward. LFT (Looking For Team) and I hope I showed my skill for future teams. And I want not just to participate in tournaments, but to win them. I hope I’m ready. So, I would be grateful if any good teams find my contact and we can get in touch.
Daxak was initially removed from Chimera Esports before the tournament due to team disagreements but ultimately returned as a stand-in. The team secured second place in the group stage and then reached third place in the second stage. In the playoffs, they started from the lower bracket semi-finals, where they lost to Team Spirit with a score of 1:2 and were eliminated from the championship.
DreamLeague Season 25 took place online from February 16th to March 2nd. Sixteen teams competed for a prize pool of one million dollars and 20,440 EPT points.
