Valve developers addressed and resolved an issue within 24 hours that prevented Counter-Strike 2 from launching in Russian. The bug emerged on March 4th following a localization file update. By March 5th, the game was functioning correctly again.
The problem prevented the game from starting if users had selected Russian as the launch language in the game’s properties. However, CS2 could be launched without issues when any other language was selected. The exact cause of this bug was not known at the time of this report.
On March 3rd, map designer Shawn FMPONE Snelling released an updated version of Cache in the Steam Workshop. Notably, this update removed the graffiti featuring Alexander s1mple Kostylev. More details about this are available in a separate article.
