Security personnel were present with both fighters at the interview, a measure taken after a contentious event the previous month.

Eubank threw an egg at Benn’s face during a heated press conference in Manchester on February 25.

This act infuriated Benn, leading to a chaotic physical altercation on stage.

Eubank stated that the egg-throwing incident was a direct reference to his opponent’s 2022 doping ban.

During their appearance with Morgan, security intervened as the boxers engaged in a war of words.

In a trailer, Benn was heard asking with disdain, “Can you check this p**** for any eggs?”

Eubank retorted, “I don’t need eggs, my friend, my fists are more than sufficient.”

He further added, “I despise what he represents.”

“I hate what he did, failing those two drug tests is unacceptable.”

Benn later accused Eubank of “disrespect,” while Morgan watched the exchange from his host’s seat.

Eubank responded, “You have to be able to take what you dish out.”

Security intervened once again to ensure the confrontation did not escalate into physical blows.

Originally, Eubank and Benn were slated to fight nearly three years prior.

However, the match was cancelled after Benn failed two drug tests.

The WBC indicated that the failed test for clomiphene in Benn’s system might have been linked to egg consumption.

Benn has since been exonerated of any wrongdoing by the National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP).

For the upcoming grudge match on April 26, Benn is moving up two weight classes and is reportedly in excellent condition early in his training camp.

Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, mentioned to talkSPORT, “We are in an era where fighters tend to document their training activities.”

“Conor Benn is training with incredible intensity.”

“In my view, Conor Benn is operating at a higher level than Chris Eubank Jr.”

“However, by moving up two weight categories, he faces a significant physical disadvantage.”
