Caroline Dubois is set to defend her WBC lightweight world championship title against Bo Mi Re Shin in London this Friday night.
Dubois, aged 24 and the sister of heavyweight boxer Daniel Dubois, will be featured as a co-main event. She will fight on the undercard of Natasha Jonas’s welterweight unification fight against Lauren Price at the Royal Albert Hall.
Instead of a widely anticipated match against rival world champion Terri Harper, Dubois will face WBC No. 1 contender Shin.
Despite her first WBC championship defense concluding prematurely last month due to her opponent Jessica Camara suffering a cut, Dubois remains undefeated with eleven wins.
That fight concluded in a technical draw, allowing Dubois to retain her title.
Shin, 30, has primarily competed in the super-featherweight division and has a record of two losses and three draws in 23 fights.
