Steam users have criticized Monster Hunter Wilds for its PC optimization problems. In response, Capcom has released a guide aimed at helping gamers configure the game for smoother performance.
Capcom has proposed 12 solutions to address the poor performance of Monster Hunter Wilds on PC. These recommendations include updating video card drivers, installing the latest Windows or operating system updates, adding the game to antivirus exceptions, changing the game’s installation folder path, disabling compatibility mode, and adjusting in-game settings.
Monster Hunter Wilds was released on February 28th and is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Despite reaching a peak online player count of 1.3 million on Steam, the game has received only 48% positive reviews on the platform due to these optimization issues. Experts at Digital Foundry have also reported problems with the PC version, noting long texture loading times, FPS drops, stutters, and other technical difficulties.
