Virat Kohli is set to play his 300th match for India in the upcoming Champions Trophy league game against New Zealand in Dubai. This milestone comes after his recent century against Pakistan.

Michael Bracewell, New Zealand’s all-rounder, recognized the importance of this achievement. He stated, “Playing 300 games is a massive achievement, especially in one format. It truly shows his dedication and how he has approached his career.”

Having played alongside Kohli at Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2023 IPL season, Bracewell has witnessed Kohli’s preparation firsthand. “I’ve seen his meticulous preparation for each match. It’s very impressive. India has many quality players, and their experience makes them a formidable team. We are excited for the challenge,” Bracewell added.

Bracewell further commented on India’s strong team, with Kohli being a key player known for his numerous one-day international centuries. He anticipates a competitive match against India, acknowledging the talent on both sides.

Despite New Zealand’s historical advantage over India in ICC tournaments, Bracewell emphasized that the team is not focusing on past records. He mentioned their confidence from a previous Test series win against India and their good record in ICC events.

“We prefer to take each game as it comes, without putting undue pressure on ourselves. This approach has worked well for us. We focus on playing our brand of cricket, adapting to the conditions, and applying pressure strategically. We will continue to follow this strategy,” Bracewell explained.

Addressing recent discussions about India having an advantage due to familiar grounds and conditions, Bracewell dismissed these concerns. “It is what it is. We accept the conditions and see it as an exciting part of the game to adapt and learn in different environments,” he concluded.
