Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt, the captain of paiN Gaming’s Counter-Strike 2 team, commented on the team’s advancement to the second group stage of ESL Pro League Season 21.
He stated:
“It wasn’t the ideal scenario, but after a demanding month without rest, limited practice, and battling a nasty flu that affected the entire team, we still managed to qualify… For some, it might not seem like much, but you can’t imagine the effort we put in to get through!!!”
On March 5th, paiN Gaming defeated Nemiga Gaming with a 2:1 scoreline: 7:13 on Train, 13:9 on Mirage, and 13:11 on Dust2. The Brazilian team secured a spot in the tournament’s second phase.
ESL Pro League Season 21 is taking place in Stockholm, Sweden, from March 1st to 16th. Teams are competing for a $400,000 prize pool.
